Some clients may choose to be more specific depending on the circumstances, by including the last four digits of the account number. This is especially helpful when you have multiple accounts with the same institution. For example, a client might send something that looks like this:
- Capital One – $3,000.00
- Capital One – $5,942.39
While this information is important and needed, in this format, it can create confusion during the drafting process. For the sake of a clearer document and maximum efficiency, one way to distinguish accounts would be with the last four digits of the account. So, the information looks like this:
- Capital One #4909 – $3,000.00
- Capital One #9732 – $5,942.39
Providing the last four digits ensures we reference the correct accounts, avoid duplication, and return your completed document within the promised time frame, while also keeping your personal information secure, because we do not need, nor will we require, anything more intrusive.

We never ask for:
- Full account numbers
- Expiration dates
- Security codes
- Passwords
- Online banking credentials
